My washing machine wouldn’t lock so it couldn’t continue the rinse and spin cycle, so I called several appliance companies. I was super grateful when Mr. Appliance told me they had just gotten a cancellation this afternoon and could come right away, compared to the week I was going to have to wait on another appliance repair company. Patrick came and took the locking mechanism off, and when that seemed to be working ok, he took off the top and checked the mother board. After checking all the circuits and running tests, he put it all back together and it works perfectly. I am so grateful he took the time to really try to figure it out, instead of just telling me I needed all new parts. He was patient and thanks to him, I don’t have to spend a ton of money to replace parts or even consider buying an all new set. I am very happy for his efforts and for them fitting me in quickly. Especially this close to the Holidays.

Don’t use Sears Home Services for appliance repairs! We have an 18 month old LG dishwasher covered by an extended warranty through Assurant. They contract locally with A&E Sears home service. We had the top control board go blank. The first Tech unplugged waited 15 minutes and plugged it back in. It worked for two weeks and did the same thing. The second technician thought it was the top control board and ordered a new one. The scheduled a return appointment 2 weeks later. Part arrived and the 3rd technician came out to install it. After putting the new part on the dishwasher went completely dark and wouldn’t work. He went out to his van for 30 minutes and returned saying they would be back in 2 weeks. Another part arrives. This time a lower control board. Technician arrives to install and discovers it is the wrong part. Orders another part and says 2 more weeks. Part arrives and the technician never shows. You cannot call them directly. You have to speak with a call center in another country. All they can do is schedule an appointment in 2 weeks. I gave up and called Mr Appliance because I had the part. Resigned to the idea it would work or I would spend $1000 on a new dishwasher. Mr Appliance arrived the next morning. Installed the new part. Nothing worked. He looked at the top control panel and realized they put the wrong part on. I still had the original. He installed it and presto it worked. Moral of the story, if you need an appliance repaired call Mr Appliance not A&E home services.
